About Jamaica...
One of the most densely populated nations in the Caribbean, Jamaica lies approximately 144 km south of Cuba and 160 km west of Haiti. Jamaica is the fifth-largest island country in the Caribbean. Once called Xaymaca in Arawakan, meaning the “Land of Wood and Water” or the “Land of Springs”. Colloquially Jamaicans refer to their home island as the “Rock”, whereof further slang names like “Jamrock”, “Jamdown”.

This vibrant island encourages endless outdoor activities and things to see, with white-sand beaches, rivers, waterfalls, and the jungle-like Blue Mountains.
